Q: “What will you spend the money on?”

I have set my campaign budget at $2,000. The purpose of the campaign is to grow my exposure beyond the door knocking I’ve done and talks to¬†groups.

What I’ve planned to spend:

  • Election¬†Signage $1500
  • Online Advertising $500
  • Total: $2000

Q: “Do your expenses get re-imbursed from rate-payer funds?”

No. Anyone running for council must raise their own funds for their campaign expenses. There is no contribution from rates or any other public source (even if the candidate is successful at being elected).

Q: “Do you track your expenses and donations?”

Yes. The law says I must track my expenses and donations accurately.

After the election results are in (early-May), I am required to submit an expense report which will detail every expense in my campaign and the name of anyone who has contributed financially to my campaign, so please do include your contact details with your donation.
